LiBa Rescue – Sizes

The LiBa Rescue in SUV size is also suitable for sedans and compact cars; excess material can be flexibly gathered for transport.

Additional sizes, including a version for compact cars, are about to be launched. A size specifically designed for vans and delivery vehicles is currently in development.

Following an accident in the Soest district involving a severely damaged hybrid electric vehicle, there was a risk that the high-voltage battery had been compromised—posing a potential danger of self-ignition or explosion. To safely recover and store the vehicle, the recovery company relied on the LiBa Rescue System.

The specialized textile cover fully encloses the vehicle, thereby minimizing potential risks to emergency responders, the environment, and the surrounding area.

Opposing color-coded zippers, lashing loops, double hook-and-loop fasteners, a deployment fold, load-securing access points, and the gathering function provide efficient support during recovery operations. The special inner layer protects the vehicle’s paintwork from scratches, while cut-resistant and barrier layers prevent the leakage of operating fluids.

LiBa® Rescue also relieves emergency responders from having to make difficult decisions—such as deliberately submerging a vehicle, contaminating thousands of liters of drinking water, and bearing the resulting costs.

Our LiBa Rescue recovery system features a modular design and is available in various sizes and packaging options. Thanks to its low weight, it can be deployed by a single person using standard recovery vehicles—without the need for specialized equipment—even in challenging environments such as rough terrain, underground parking garages, or tunnels.
